Class A or D

From reading on this forum I learned that class amps are more effecient. I bought 2 xtant A4004 (4 channel)and A6001(MONO) 3 years ago that were a bit pricey. I am now wondering if they are Class A or D amps. Xtant says they are A series, Does that mean that they are class A amps. Would anyone reccomend upgrading to the x series Xtant??? Thanks
