I gotta agree w/ you, the old RE SX was a great daily sub. But, have you played around w/ the new RE SXX's?
When I built that box for Josh Tucker here on the forums for 2 of the new RE SE X...I gotta say, they are not the subs they used to be. Still sounded very good and did 146++ in his truck, plugged a port and the lows were mean....but they're just not built as heavy as 'back in the day'. Single spider, plastic junk around the motor, SOFT suspension, cheapy surround that dimples on high excursion.
Not at all like the old SE, I just don't know if the are capable of handling the abuse like they used to. Just too much like a mainstream sub now.
