There's a difference between doing stand up comedy poking fun at our differences, and using an extremely offensive racial slur to berate people. Are you trying to argue that the "n word" isn't offensive? Are you trying to say that Tommy Davidson's rendition of white people square dancing is as offensive as what Kramer did? Plenty of white comedians have done the equivalent of what Tommy Davidson did in that bit, without offending anyone or experiencing negative feedback. |

There is no good reason to be offended by Tommy Davidson's act. If you know people who are, I have to assume they have some sort of resentment towards black people in the first place, and that's their own problem. I can't say I respect the opinion of someone who's offended by that, because that's pretty idiotic. Ralphie May and Lisa Lampanelli both come to mind as white comedians who have done LOTS of racial stereotype humor, which is still frequently aired on Comedy Central and other stations, and is accepted and appreciated by the majority of people. People who choose to be offended by that stuff are most likely big0ts themselves. |

Im a 17 year old white kid that lives in the middle of no where and white kids call each other niqqa, racism really isnt a major issue anymore.I have a half black brother so im kinda speaking for both sides. i live in the south (Tennessee) but a comedy act is for that reason comedy and people jump to racism way to fu<kin fast just because a person is of a certain color doesnt mean there is immediate hate or dislike. All the people i know judge by the action of a person, if there actions are ignorant then they earn the title, people like to argue too much over semantics and pointless bullshit. i have no problem with a black person making fun of white stereo types or of me but when i do begin to have a problem is when they start to make personel remarks toward myself friends or family, ect. without knowing the person on a level of trust to make such remarks racism is ignorant and should not be practiced, i have no belife in superior races, i know black people who act whiter than me and i know white people that act blacker than flavor flav. sorry end rant lol. |
