Nothing wrong with a $1 clamp if it not only does the job but doesn't hurt your feelings when it breaks. And those will break. Reminds me of my surround replacement thread. https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/car-audio/355935.html |
Gold Member Username: SomedonniedudeIllinois Braaap MX Post Number: 2911 Registered: May-07 | Lol I couldnt help but think of that thread when I started this project. I think I told you before but I will say it again you did a very nice job on that surround replacement. I remember when I first saw it done I was blown away! My next woofer project is replacing the cone on my la storm x1, which is very similair to the eclipse Ti. should be interesting. lets just say the cone didnt like it when I fed it 2kw |

Bronze Member Username: SundownzMooresville, NC USA Post Number: 93 Registered: Nov-06 | That gap looks super tight -- 4 layer coil ? I re-coned an older Atomic motor recently and it had only 0.5mm clearance on both sides of the coil with a 4-layer... silly tight! |
Gold Member Username: SomedonniedudeIllinois Braaap MX Post Number: 2917 Registered: May-07 | Yup 4 layer. the gap is ignorant tight! the gap is 81.8m in diameter |
