^^ correct. But screws are important for clamping the box together as tight as possible until the glue sets. That's why every major box builder uses them, not for the strength.
Im almost positive with the hundreds of boxes and the fact that we have built one of the nastiest demo vehicles canaan knows how to keep one together whether he uses screws, nails clamps or string to hold it together.
lol.. people trying to explain box-building to Canaan.
yeah, I'll also say that I'de put up any amount of money that his boxes are as good or better than any regular members enclosures on here. Including woodlawn, fisher, and bassman3. JMHO
Props to rovins boxes too. always has great builds and great reviews as well. I wish I could do as good as any of the above mentioned builders.
I never said anything wrong with his boxes Cory. All i asked is if he used screws or anything on it. Your boxes are always nice it was just a question., Cory...
dam you people who can carpet a box i cant even wrap a gift. you also have the same soldering torch as me. looks good, what a bought your 6th order box?
Looks good Canaan, and ill hold you to it I haven't been on in about 2 days ive been just checking my email and when a notification from here shows up ill come here and take a look around. Its Saturday and its raining on my end but its only 8:40 so by 1 it should dissipate.....Ima call you at the shop to check all the details, im assuming you have a SUV or a truck with a cover on it to bring my box. Just letting you know about the rain. Ok, I guess if everything goes good we'll all see what Canaan's box will do

Yes, we are leaving the shop about 11am, should be at the show about 1pm. We have space in the back of the van for your box and the tools we haul around just incase.
Cory said you called yesterday, but I was busy in the back. I'm here at the shop now, go ahead and call me.
he did 146.6 right after we screwed the subs in. i can see this setup doing mid-147 to low 148s with a little testing. with one port plugged for daily driving, the whole dash moves. pretty sure he won his class but he had to leave before trophys were handed out, results will be posted onthe usaci site in a few days.
^^^^ Oh yea! I really do like the setup. I need to get that port plugged up, haven't done that yet. I left earlier cause i felt bad for my cuz who was freezing his @$$ off! To tell the truth I kind of was too, that and my mom about had a heart attack just letting me go since ive been grounded cause of grades :YIKES: but it's all good. Canaan was alot of help, and I hope we'll see each other later so he can tweak my system a bit more.....
THE VAN IS BRUTAL, for someone not used to that much bass its a pure massacre, Canaan definately had the most bass but that old Oldsmobile beat him with treble/midbass loudness.....but when you have at least 5-10 db on the competition who cares about the mids!
Oh yea, ill get some vids up whenever I can get away with my parents being gone! They don't want to deal with pissed off neighbors so they told me keep it down going down the drive and that was on the old setup now itll probably be keep it down going down the street...HAHA The school already was fussing cause of me and another guy having a lil fun after school one day....again with the old box....The lows hit so much better with the new box, he also showed me a good bit about clipping and whats too much. All in all a great day! Had alotta fun, well Ecoustics looks like you have hooked you another audio fanatic!
