Well I'm not that smart when it comes to car audio.

I want to buy this set of Alpine SPR-13S speakers:

http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/5770.html

And I have no idea which amp to get, I was looking at these two:

http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/5624.html

http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/8205.html

And could anyone also refer me to a diagram of how to wire them etc. Thanks very much!

Hey man i looked up your links and the mrp300 is DEFINETLY the amp you need. The other amp is a mono block used for subwoofers. I own a smaller version of the 300 its a mrpf240 basically the same amp with 60 watts less power. Now you can run 4 speakers/channels from that amplifier comfortably without upgrading your vehicles charging system like the battery/alternator Now you also have different options to wire them. If those components are of the 4 ohm variety, the website didnt say, and they are the only set of speakers you intend on amplifying then you can and should run each pair on the 2 bridged channels that are created by wiring the positive and negative leads from the speakers to their respective outputs marked on the amp as "The bridge" and there will be a spot for both speakers. By bridging this amp exactly this way you will get the full power output as you will combine channel 1 and 2 usually marked FRONT, and 3 and 4 marked REAR into 2 powerful channels.Split the RCAs 1to the fr. An1 to the rear.

Dont forget to set the crossover on the amp to full/all pass and that will allow the passive crossovers that come with the speakers to do there job. Now if your components are 2 ohm , come to think of it I think those alpines might be , that setup will not work. In that case you can wire them each to their own channel and they should get 75 watts rms a piece because at a 2ohm STEREO load that amp will produce more than the 60 watts it claims. You then will be able to add another set of speakers, maybe even one ten inch sub or a bass tube, which alpine does make to the rear channels down the road. Good luck the world of audiophiles awaits you. I will let the next junkie tell you the other option I left out FOR THEM. CYA and dont bridge the 2 ohms Please matee'

SPR 13 S ALPINE 5.25s are 4 ohm impedant. Bridge them the manual will back me up on the wiring. You could also look for a 2 channel amp but you would have less options.

Okay Kalzone thank you very much for your help!
I will go with the MRP-300 and bridge the speakers as you have said :-)

As for adding speakers later on down the line, I was thinking of getting this package in a few months or so:

Would I have to (as you stated above) "upgrade my vehicles charging system like the battery/alternator" ?

Sorry I am really bad when it comes to car audio!

Thanks again!

Nice setup harvey as long as you use quality true 4 gauge(thick)wire, and keep your ground wires short as in 3 feet or less i doubt you will need anything more than a stiffening capacitor or CAP for short. A cap stores a large jolt of power and releases it to the amps when needed. Unless you have a little 4 cylinder with a low output alternatr this is your best bet along with a thicker power wire from your alt. To the battery and you can add one in 5 min. Leave the stock wire there because? Everybody together now. CURRENT WILL FOLLOW THE PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE!! MAKE N MODEL PLEASE... HARVEY

Oh okay thanks for that info man!

Here is the info of the amp:

http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/8045.html

And the sub:

I have also had a look into capacitors as you have said but I am not sure as to which one I would need? Here is the page of caps:

Thanks again for all your help!
