I have an 04' nissan frontier cab and a half (small truck).
I would be either removing my one seat in the back to make room or just folding it up. There is a good amount of space in the back for an enclosure.
I am wondering what type of system I should get?
I mainly wanted the system so I could hear some nice LOUD bass but there is no point in having a system if you can't hear good, quality music with it.
So I guess I am looking for two good SQL subs, in the middle of SPL and SQ..
I want sound and the deep bass over quality but I still want good quality coming from my speakers and not having my bass distort or so focused on SPL that I can't hear the lyrics or the other music.
****Please do not give me just brand names as I am NOT car savy at ALL. So that would not help as much. Links or specific types/models with the brand would be awesome!!***
I would go with two level 4 12 inch DC sound lab subs. the link to their site is www.dcsoundlab.com and i would get two alpine MRP-M500 amps to run them. just google it. As for mid speakers i would try to purchase either alpine or rockford fosgates. and try to get a alpine CDA-105 head unit.
I was REALLY impressed with the Sundown SA-12's today. they are 12" subs rated at 600RMS. Very nice response on them, not muddy sounding.
They sell for 190 each
The amp of my choice to power those would be a Sundown SAE-1200Dv2. This amp does a VERY underrated 1200RMS at 1 ohm load. Tests have shown it to easily do 1500+ rms at 2.1 ohms and voltage down to 12.8
The price tag for this is 350
Next up would be your front stage. Still to this date my favorite "budget" comp set would be CDT's HD-62CF set. they get loud off little power, or you can send them the full 150 RMS and get blown away. They do all this while still sounding pretty darn good.
A nice amp to power these could be the sundown SAX-125.2 to match your Subs and Substage amp. This amp comes fully loaded with crossover setting to allow you to go fully active if you wanted to.
Price on this would be 240
All of that would be a pretty impressive setup and sound really nice doing it while leaving you with 130 left over from he budget
Just get a box built to specs proper amps. I'd get an amp that would slighty over power them so you have head room. Just don't wang on them for hours. Good companies usually under rate their stuff
Then I'm sure, I am getting an AQ2200D AMP. So I have 200 extra plus the underrating.
Amp is 2200RMS
Subs are 2000RMS
I'm getting the box built according to the Fi website and their recommendations. And do you mean box built to specs as what I just said? Also proper amps..I just assume you mean a good amp.
