Hi

I am looking for help with Ford 6000CD (06 UK Mondeo) audio unit.

When I bought the car the documents didn't have the Radio Code. I am going to install a Parrot Bluetooth unit and have I will need to disconnect the power during the installation; therefore I will need the code.

I contacted my local Ford dealer and they want £20 for the code and I will also have to book a time for them to take the radio out to access the code (last time that I will use them for servicing).
What information do I need for someone to post the code for me?

Thanks.

The radio will have to be removed from the dashboard .

Then quote the Serial Number found on a label on the casing.

It normally begins with M++++++ (or L or C or V )

Here is a video showing how to remove your radio from the dashboard. A pair of extractors are required (available from Ebay , Halfords etc ) but these can be made from 2 pieces of bent, wire coat-hanger or 4 small drills(using the blunt end) or 4 small Allen Keys or 4 small screwdrivers or 4 nails or even 4 darts.

An assistant is useful to pull the radio out whilst you are releasing the 4 securing clips

Thanks Reg.

My 6000CD audio unit appears to be a later version. The removal keys are the flat type which require 4 of them to be inserted at the same time. I have just ordered a set and I will post the serial number when they arrive.

Again thanks

I have now located the serial number for my Ford 6000CD audio unit.

The Serial Number is M071799

I would be very grateful if someone could locate the code for this radio.

Many thanks
