Hi, I recently got a new Component 2-way speaker System (Alpine SPR-17s) and I was wondering if someone can be kind enough to explain to me or link me how to "properly" attune a Tweeter on the crossover box, it has a slot for 0dB, 3dB, all up to 8bB. The speaker system is linked to a 75 watt RSM 4 channel amp. Thank You

I can't imagine anyone setting it at 8dB. I have always found mine run best at either 0 dB or 3 dB. I honestly can't say if there is a right way or a wrong way to set this up. If you feel your tweets are at a lesser "volume" than the rest of your system, you would bump it up to 3 dB. If you feel the tweets were shining too much, you'd lower it to -3 dB (you don't seem to have this option). I have always set the EQ on the HU to flat and see if the tweets sound level with the rest of the system.

I always set it where it sounded best to me.
