Can anyone tell me how Lanzar's higer end amps stack up in general? I have a Lanzar 241Vibe 1000watt amp and am trying to determine if I should upgrade or not? It's got some power, and overall good SQ,but I'm lookin for serious PUNCH balanced with good lows and overall SQ for a couple JBL P1224's I'm throwin in. Should I stick with what I got or would a higher end amp make THAT big a difference?
Well, the subs are 4ohm DVC 400rms and the amp pushes a stable 2 ohm load at 420x2 so it would really work out along the lines of matching rms power. Budget really depends on product and price. I would pay a few more bucks for something that just kicks that much a#@.... However,if I can find a better deal on something better than what I have, I would go that route. It's been hard finding a decent amp that pushes 400-450rms x2 @ 2ohm,without paying $300 or more though.
http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woofer_wizard.asp?submitted=true&woofer_qt y=2&woofer_imp=4 check out this wiring diagram. Your best choice is the easiest. Get a single channel 1ohm stable class D amp. So 400-450 id just get a 1000rms amp. Look for used if your on a budget.
