I can get one for $150 should I do it? I hear positive things about these subs, but i want to hear it from people who have them. Are they very loud? or more sq? how do they compare to jl 13w7's? or alpine type r 12's(that is what i have currently) I would plan on getting a second eventually. Would it be difficult to find a second v2?

All opinions and reviews welcome.

Yeah it is still available. I'm going see it around 3. Sean hit me with an e-mail or IM if you still want it, but if it is good I will probably be keeping it.

I sure did. Not sure if I want to keep it or not. I have it in a crappy sealed box and i dont think it is loading correctly the way it is positioned, because it is moving alot and not making much noise. I had one of my type r's in the same box and same position and the IDMAX out performed it in every way. It does sound very nice. I was listening to Bawitabaw and it sounded like kid rock was in my car. I need to put it in a nice ported box rather than the leaky sealed that it is in.

Any tips on where to position a sealed box in a trunk car?

I intended on getting pics of the sub, but I fail.

I'll do that tomorrow possibly.

I did however get a pic of this monster.

Upload
^thats 8000wrms at 1 or 4 ohms.

It was just comical to look at because it looks like they took a regular amp and just increased its size proportionally. (Btw that little disc on the left is a cd )

The dude I got the sub from had a ton of sweet car audio stuff (including the above amp) such as A huge US amps splash series that is a solid 48" long, 2 DD 9515s, a stroker sub, a huge 13" kenwood sub with a fuse on it, a bunch of JL stuff, and some nice subs and amps.

I gots to do work on building another box for the IDMAX. Any suggestions?

Pics after lunch...

Fun fact dont place a large subwoofer next to you computer. lol I set my IDMAX next to my computer and it made it go into hibernation or sleep mode. It would not turn back on until I moved my subwoofer away. ooops

When i had the IDMAX in a 1 cuft sealed box it was not very loud at all. I have extra mdf around so I will throw together a box soon. Im thinking about 2.5cuft at like 30hz.

I love that basket.

And your amp isn't even giving it the full 1,000 RMS right? Need to get a better amp to match it with later.
