New member Username: Hi_lifePost Number: 1 Registered: Sep-09 | I am looking at installing 2 12's in my ex cab toyota truck. As of right now I am thinking about going with 2 12'' Alpine Type R's 2 ohm DVC and one Alpine MRP-M1000 amp. Are there any better combos out there for around the same price? I also already have a Kenwood 140 watt 4 ch. amp running 4 comp speakers. If I run 2 gauge wire from the battery to a Capacitor then to a block would it be better to run 2 or 4 gauge wire to the 1000 watt Alpine amp? And just 8 gauge to the Kenwood amp. Also what ported box would you recommend for this set up? And my last question is what size and brand Capacitor would you use for this set up? Sorry for all the questions I just wanna make sure I do it right the first time. -Alex |

New member Username: Hi_lifePost Number: 2 Registered: Sep-09 | Yea sorry for the mix up. Right now all I have in the truck is the 140 watt 4 ch Kenwood amp and all new door speakers. I want to add 2 12's and I am thinking about going with the Alpine Type R's 2 ohms DVC and the Alpine M1000 amp. I found the subs online for $140 each and the amp for $320. So I just wanted to know if there was any other subs or amps out there that are better for around the same price? I hope that help clear it up a little. -Alex |

I can design/build you a box. i would go with the Rd1000.1 or AQ1200D over the alpine amp. As for the subs the SD2.5, RE SE and Alpine Type R's are all good subs. Find which you can get for the lowest price. |
