Gold Member Username: SouthernrebelMonroe, Louisiana Team Audible... Post Number: 7660 Registered: Mar-04 | Nope, PE must have got stuck w/ a hell of a shipping bill on this one. I just ordered another $100 worth |
Diamond Member Username: WingmanaliveWww.stainles... .ecrater.com Post Number: 21033 Registered: Jun-06 | Ha! I simply can't do the math in my head. Shipping 310 lbs anywhere in the country via Fedex ISN'T cheap. Mine came 2nd day. PE had to buy these at $.01 each, or less. They'd be losing their shirts any other way. I checked mine out. They're clean and in order. This is the deal of the year hands down. I now have 10 large boxes in my living room and if I were still married I'd be setting up the tent in the backyard for sure lol! |

Gunna be hard to sell em if a lot of people start undercutting each other on ebay. Also I cant imagine the demand is incredibly high for tweeters. Seems like you might wind up hanging onto them for a while. Still for the price you really cant lose. I don't understand how PE could be doing that... and the sale is STILL going. canaan, what are you going to do with (4000?) tweets? lmao |
Gold Member Username: Snowball123West Allis, WI Post Number: 3080 Registered: Oct-07 | Well Cannan works at the shop, I would think he would have the easier time of selling them than Paul will. |

Gold Member Username: Van_manBoston South, MA Post Number: 4926 Registered: Mar-06 | Nice. Again, I would like to get like 1/2 dozen or so.. Paypal ready...hook me up |
Diamond Member Username: WingmanaliveWww.stainles... .ecrater.com Post Number: 21034 Registered: Jun-06 | Who from? Lol. Like I said it doesn't matter how long you hold onto them, you can't LOSE $. When the frenzy settles on Ebay and everywhere else you'll still have a decent product that has a shelf life of...?????? <<<<That you paid $.05/each for. Take inflation into consideration and in even 5 years these will still be a sure bargain for $.50. Like the 1/0ga power wire I got for $2/ft. When do you think we'll see THAT again? It's only $100 for 2000 items. I can't imagine their stock holding up much longer. Seriously. |
Diamond Member Username: WingmanaliveWww.stainles... .ecrater.com Post Number: 21035 Registered: Jun-06 | As stated earlier. Someone, somewhere, fucked up big time. |
Gold Member Username: Hittin1TEAM REVOLUTION, La. Lake Charles... Post Number: 3792 Registered: May-07 | Canaan, From what you see with them, what mounting options do you see being possible? How much you selling them for in the shop? |
Gold Member Username: SouthernrebelMonroe, Louisiana Team Audible... Post Number: 7662 Registered: Mar-04 | The only way I see to mount them (easily) is by pulling the screw out of the back of them. You could just drill a small hole in a vehicle's plastic trim and put the screw in behind the trim, just the way I did on that peg-board. I'm thinking $5 a pair w/ a crossover. (either 6k or 8.5k) Alot cheaper if you want an array built. BTW, these are just as loud as Power Acoustik NB1 tweets. |

Gold Member Username: BasssquaredKansas Post Number: 2587 Registered: Nov-06 | what do you mean pulling the screw out of them i'm confused clarify for me please sorry i'm a lil out of it its been a long day |
Gold Member Username: Tatonka-[Team Audible Insanity]- Post Number: 3125 Registered: Mar-07 | There is a screw on teh bottom of the tick-a-tick. It holds the clip that holds the wire against it. Unscrew that, ditch the clip, then viola: mounting opportunities |

Diamond Member Username: WingmanaliveWww.stainles... .ecrater.com Post Number: 21037 Registered: Jun-06 | Well what I meant was someone over ordered or tanked an order. Seeing as these were meant for auto applications I'm wondering if a large auto manufacturer had to tank an order? Either way Ebay is indeed flooded with them. I have them going for 10 for $9.95 shipped. I already have a bunch of watchers. Some are selling them(trying) at 100/$95, 200/$175 and so on. It'll take some time but it's a good way to rack up feedback. |
Gold Member Username: BasssquaredKansas Post Number: 2588 Registered: Nov-06 | still see no lil screw anywhere |

Silver Member Username: DlavanteD&L Audio Tech. , Daniel Tigard, Or, USA Post Number: 232 Registered: Feb-07 | I spoke with someone from PE a couple days ago and got the low down on the tweeters. It was more than likely Chrysler that had to sell off they're excess parts, and PE offered to buyout what was left of the tweeters. They ended up with 1,300 cases (2.6million) tweeters and as of last friday they only had 700 cases left |
Gold Member Username: Andrew571Stillwater/Edmond, Oklahoma USA Post Number: 2323 Registered: Oct-05 | ^^ was just going to say that. I bet it was from an automaker line that was scrapped. Definitely makes sense, I bet PE nearly got them free. |

Diamond Member Username: WingmanaliveWww.stainles... .ecrater.com Post Number: 21041 Registered: Jun-06 | Told ya it was either a fluck up or a tanked order. |
Diamond Member Username: WingmanaliveWww.stainles... .ecrater.com Post Number: 21174 Registered: Jun-06 | I'm selling mine regularly on Ebay. 40 so far and counting. |
Gold Member Username: DeadrabitMarionville, MO Post Number: 2132 Registered: Jun-07 | can u still get those cheap? i was thinking about getting a wall of tweets |
Gold Member Username: JtownTexas Post Number: 3927 Registered: Mar-07 | could these be an easily mountable, replacement set of tweets for my home stereo cabinets? |
Diamond Member Username: WingmanaliveWww.stainles... .ecrater.com Post Number: 21178 Registered: Jun-06 | As long as the ohm load is correct then why not? Partsexpress has a two case limit now lol. They must be getting low on inventory. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=269-810 |

Gold Member Username: JtownTexas Post Number: 3929 Registered: Mar-07 | if only they had some type of mounting ring or something |
Diamond Member Username: WingmanaliveWww.stainles... .ecrater.com Post Number: 21237 Registered: Jun-06 | They are tweets. It's not like they are heavy or anything. You can mount them with glue and such lol. William, if you're serious, and I know you're not, email me your addy and I'll send you my Paypal addy and we'll go from there. |
Gold Member Username: JtownTexas Post Number: 3930 Registered: Mar-07 | it's not that they are heavy or anything like that. these cabinets are so old I'm not sure I want to deface them with glue lol. but I did get them for free and all three of the speakers in each are dry rotted.....and sound like pooooo |
