I have a viper 791 on my truck. I have had it for about 5 years. Only thing I don't like about my remote starter is the hand held remote unit. They seem to stop working after about a year. Unit will not communicate with alarm, even if I try to reprogram it. It will just give the 3 beeps. I am then forced to buy a new hand held remote for about $100.
Since I now have about 5 hand held remotes that no longer work I would like to know this...
Does anyone know how to repair hand helds?

Can any other hand held be used with the viper 791?
