New member Username: Parker182Post Number: 1 Registered: Aug-09 | Hi im thinking of buying an Alpine SWR-1242D type r sub which is 4 ohm. or i could get the Alpine SWR-1222D at 2ohm. i dont know the difference which is best? http://www.bassjunkies.com/audio/alpine-swr-1222d i also want 2 Vibe QB69 6x9s. http://www.bassjunkies.com/audio/vibe-qb69 which amp would be best to suit these? i really need to know this info. so hope somebody helps me out. cheers |

Silver Member Username: Jd93kidBrandon, MS U.S. Post Number: 135 Registered: Jul-09 | well for the sub.. the 1222 will have to be wired at 4 or 1 ohm.. the 1242 will have to wired at 2 or 8 ohm.. i would personally go with the 1242d.. the reason they have to be wired at the different ohms is because they are dual voice coil.. I would get a good 600w rms amp for this sub.. maybe an alpine mrp-m650 or somethin similar. |

As for the 6x9's i dont really know... 6x9's are not really meant to be really loud so you might be able to just leave those to be powered by the hu or leave them totally unhooked. |
