New member Username: IntegragsPost Number: 1 Registered: Aug-09 | Ok, i stumbled across this forum a day ago, and have been reading a lot of threads and decided to ask my own question. I'm 17 and I have just recently bought my very first car! (private sale) It has two subs in a box hooked up to an amp. The setup was working fine since i bought the car, 'till one day the amp just died. So, long story short: What would be the best amp to power two Kicker Ex-104 10inch subs with. I think they are 100rms and 4 ohms each. The subs are a few years old, maybe 4-5. The amp that died was a 2-channel amp, so it's setup in the way, although it probably wouldn't be that hard to setup a mono amp, if it's a better choice for my situation. My budget is fairly low, around $200 (Canadian) tops. Maybe slightly more, or i could probably decide to hold it off for a while and save more money, if it would even be needed. The only knowledge i have of audio and electrical components are from randomly looking through forums. So any help, advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm just worried about the quality of them, They all "seem" to have good reviews, but which is the better quality amp? If you could tell me which amp would be the best, or even one i could get instead(around the same price), that would be awesome. Thanks a lot. |
