Bronze Member Username: TdwpgtpCleveland, Ohio Post Number: 41 Registered: Mar-09 | hey everyone i had a kenwood kac-9104d monoblock powering to kicker CVRs (dual 4 ohm) wired to one ohm. the amp IS one ohm stable. it worked fine in my car, then i put it in my friends the EXACT same way. only thing is now it pops fuses at medium to high volume. i tried different subs at 2 and 4 ohms. same problem. im assuming its the amp. anyone have any ideas what exactly would be the problem? |

Im guessing your friends headunit has a much higer output voltage and is causing the amp to clip or draw excessive current. http://www.bcae1.com/ go to #63 on the right side. |
Bronze Member Username: TdwpgtpCleveland, Ohio Post Number: 42 Registered: Mar-09 | well i ran RCAs from my headunit to the amp in his car to see if had something to do with the head unit or his RCAs, and it did the same thing. i turned the gain down enough to where it stopped popping fuses, but it was not putting out nearly as much power as it should. |
