I burped my 1750.1s at .35 all day long without a problem. Never blew any fuses. I don't think steve should warranty anything for you after this thread ![]() |

Gold Member Username: SouthernrebelMonroe, Louisiana Team Audible... Post Number: 7555 Registered: Mar-04 | Sadly, I have to side w/ dBlk on this one. Many times for SPL, fuses are the devil. You are already on the ragged edge of smoking everything in the vehicle, fuse can be just limiting you. Think about it, what big SPL amp do you know of that has on-board fuses? Hell, look at some SPL vehicles and see if you even find a fused run of 1/0ga! But for real dBlk, if you feel that 40a fuses are limiting you...do some jumpers like I showed above. You will be more likely to smoke an amp though, only the amps protection circuit will be there to catch it. I am willing to bet that you are loading the amps pretty low, right? And your box rise is below 0.6ohm reactive....and you are blowing the fuses due to huge current draw. I can't promise the amp will hold up, but try the jumpers. ***Disclaimer*** Not responsible for 'the magic smoke'. |
Gold Member Username: DeadrabitMarionville, MO Post Number: 2034 Registered: Jun-07 | after the box rise it was just below 1 ohm, wired to .25 the clamps said i was getting 2000 watts out of the pair when the fuses fried, but im guessing they got that halfway into the roll. i guess ill just have to do jumpers, i don't have an extra grand or two laying around for new amps thanks canaan. i do have some ?s for u about walls, im finding a few things out in testing that i didn't expect, i just built port number 6 to try, what usually is ur best hite notes? i started at 67Hz but it sucked and as i tune lower it is getting louder, last time i did a burp i was at 153.7 at 57 Hz. so what im asking is do u think making the box bigger would be better of than making a longer port? im seeing it get louder as the port is longer, so im thinking is it getting louder because of the note or the box getting smaller? |

Gold Member Username: SouthernrebelMonroe, Louisiana Team Audible... Post Number: 7564 Registered: Mar-04 | Yes door, seat, and window position can be EVERYTHING. You can gain up to 2dB from just that. Hell, at 0.2ohm dcr my z2hv jumps to protect w/ some positioning. (box rise is only 0.6ohm) |

He's running a 4th order bandpass, you are a dome-backed fail^2 wall. You will not have same rusults as compared to his. Every vehicle is slightly different, but yalls are miles apart. As for the spade termilals, I see you have em on there... That is beyond rediculious. At aleast do like Excursion said(and you said you were gonna do, but not according to pics) and (I cant believe I'm saying this) nikka-rig some maxi- fuses in the amp (what a fu<king waste of good equipment). He can buy new ones all day long. I still think the wall is a pretty big fail, but I guess you can just mark it as a learning experience (because he seems to be the type to have to try it for himself because he sure as hell doesn't listen to us) |

Watch a movie that is Produced and Hosted by Bill Mahr, called "Religious". Watch the whole thing... Then comment..
Show me where you have built two identical walls made from each.... with results.... I know I know... You can't ....
Finally, This sums it all up, dBLK.... You have had sound advice givin' to you on MANY different threads... And EVERTIME you argue and due the opposite.. The jumperwires is the first thing that you did do, and you should have listened to Excursion... Read Nicks Post above this one.... Those are the same peeps telling you to do the jumpers.... Here, i'll quote it for ya.. "In the end, if BLK wants to blow his stuff up, he can. He can buy new ones all day long. " Sounds like I may have been the one trying to help, but have it your way. |
Gold Member Username: DeadrabitMarionville, MO Post Number: 2050 Registered: Jun-07 | let me look at some of my vids and see if i can post some prof that advantech works better. yes mike i have got food and bad advice on this forum. now could u please stop clutting my post, if i do get good advice i don't really think it would come from u. i did some testing on the dome today. i lost a db, i think it is because it made the box so much bigger. but from 50 to 60 Hz it stayed with in 1db shy of my hit note. don't laugh at the low numbers at 40Hz got 148.6 at 50Hz got 150.7 at 57 Hz got 151.0 its pretty awsome for street beat, but todays testing was with under 2k watts and doesn't show anything really because iv not got to test the box size |

Lawl. I was just a tenth louder than you with one 15 in a trunk car on one 1750. |
Gold Member Username: DeadrabitMarionville, MO Post Number: 2051 Registered: Jun-07 | nick im sure a lot of cars hit over 148 at 40Hz with less power and less subs than me. but i found it cool that with the dome my peak was very very long. loudest 151 and 12 Hz around it were still about 150 who knows the dome may have nothing to do with it, ill have to test more. even if the dome doesn't work for spl its looking like it would be a good thing for street beat |
