Upgrading my amp. any ideas? thinking aq 1200d

Bronze Member Username: Wackzirth88K-town, Il U.S. Post Number: 48 Registered: May-09 | i have a hifonics brutus 1210d pushing my two 12" oriopn xtrpros(500 rms each) at a 1 ohm load.the amp is rated at 1200 rms at 1 ohm but ive heard its little overrated.well anyway a buddy of mine is lookin to get a system and offered to buy it for 200, which is wat i paid.so i want to get a better quality amp that puts out rated power wanting around 1200 rms or so for around 200-300 bucks. i been looking at the audioque 1200d. will it make a noticeable difference? any other ideas that may be better and fit in my budget? |

Bronze Member Username: Ridicbass07060Sonances wangin Post Number: 63 Registered: Apr-09 | zack stay away from any kenwood amp lol i dont know what that one guy was saying. look into the elemental designs nine.1 or the AQ. i would get the ed nine i loved that amp and it does its rated power at 12.5 v i believe. you probably wont here a difference in how loud your set up is but you might notice that your subs sound more clear and they will def be getting more power with the ed nine or the aq. if i were you i would sell the hifonics for that price to my friend and get one of those. both very good amps that never get hot and are very good quality. hope that helped |
