well i actually got it 2 wks ago bnib - dual 4ohms
i have it breaking in in a temp box which had a dd9512 last yr - box is about 3.25cuft tuned around 28-29hz with 1 4" aeroport ...didnt take pix of the box since its looking kinda ghetto because it originally had 2 4" aeros & i cut a piece of mdf to seal off 1 port hole - lol
right now i have it wired in series to 8ohms & its getting about 600wrms from my orion 2500d which will be down sized to a alpine pdx 1000.1 later on
this replaces my 1 yr old 2 10s RE SE sealed set - yep its louder than those 2 10s ...sq is alot deeper too ...with songs like late night tip \ air force \ hypnotize \ white girl my throat\breathing feels funny as though its affecting it
sub def lives up to its deadly drop low reputation - Fs on it is 20hz btw !
really bought this for SQ use so i might do a sealed box later on .....
been a long while since i had any daily sub crossed over 60hz since my front stage drops to 50-60hz ...for me i dont like above 60hz from my subs i rather the front stage handle that part
at 60hz it still hards pretty hard & u still get all that low end ...currently have it set to 50hz
i actually had a chance to get another idmax at a fairly good price but thats just too much bass for a daily sq set ...imo over 1000wrms for daily SQ listening is not needed since it will cover ur front stage ...im good with just 1 idmax - its a sub i always wanted & i finally got 1 ....
Just picked one up today too seeing this thread reminded on how stupid i was to pass the other one up lol. So i looked on cl and there was a brand new one for 300, but he took 250 for it. Cant wait to hook it up.
