im about to sell my 2 RF p3 12s and want to buy a new system..
for right now, im lookin at,
1 AQ hdc3 12(if i get this, i might add another in the future when i get a different vehicle)
2 AQ hdc3 10s
which will be louder? on an AQ1200..

the 10's need a bit more power than that. 2 sdc2.5's would be a much better choice than what you have picked out. as for size, choose what you can fit

i can fit alot more than that.. just mainly money is the prob. I can afford both, just wondering which would be louder...

or if u r going to upgrade amps later on get a single hdc3 12 with aluminum coils
then save up for a nice bulky amp
then u can get a 2nd hdc3
u could get a good 6k daily on those babies. or even more if u had the money and electrical

but if ur going to want to upgrade just get the HDCs now imo

u sound like some on that will get bigger as the money comes in

well i was thinking of maybe buying one 12 and amp now, go ahead and build box for it since i have some spare mdf laying around. and then on my next paycheck, buy another? btw, what do i need to tune my box to with 1 HDC3 12? i wanna get loudd, but still retain some of my lows

tune to what u like as long as its not lower than ur fs
35 would prolly sound better but 40 or 45 would do better on the mic

i have my hdc315 tuned at 40hz, it hits lows just fine. trust me.

well between 35, 38 and 40 are pretty big gaps..
my box is around 2.5ft^3.. i just want the sub to pound,... hard...

Tuning the box higher usually means it gets louder
But lower means it can hit more low frequencies.
Your sub will play below the tuning(just not greatly below without consequence). Around 35-40 seems to be a common number for daily that have the intention of getting loud. I know AQ and DD both recommend 40hz tuning because that will change when its in the vehicle.
