ok so i have i recently swapped the two 13w7s for a Solo x 18... I am extremely happy with my setup but have come across a problem. When i installed the Solo x with the ZX2500 i also installed a brand new Kinetik hc2400. For about 2 weeks it absolutly slammed with no problems. Now all of the sudden when i turn it up loud the amp cuts out. Could it be that the battery was just brand new and worked fine without a HO alt? or could i have wiggled loose a groung? any suggestions?
use a voltage meter, place the leads on your power and ground at the amp, if your not getting at least 12 volts then you need to start checking connections, and output. You can also check the battery output, and alternater, or take them up to Autozone and have them checked. I had a battery that spiked all the time, it would only test bad on the big loads, so I didn't know about it for a long time.
