lot of hours. its 6 inches thick
8 layers of advantec

the back baffle is going to be half of a geodesic dome if i can figure out how to make one. if not i have my own verson of one. its strong. after braces i don't think ill get much flex

Now I see what you were doing with all those corner brace pieces..They are supporting the bnds, not bracing the wall .

155.9.. I bumped up the guess .3 db cuz he used a word that I had to look up. .. Looking good. What is the mounting depth of the subs you are using. cant be much bigger than the thickness of your baffle... I know for a fact that My baffle will not be that thick, But I will rely on threaded rod, and bracing to keep the flex down.

ya know.. i thought that 8 layers was over kill but a guy that i am getting tips from told me he used 17 layers in his front baffle. one layer was steel. sounds crazy but he did all the testing. he told me 8 to 10... so i did 8.
i should be done in a week or less so if any one else has tips on anyhting let me know asap

i was going to also say! now that i am this far its looking like it will be tuned around 68 Hz. unless testing say to do something else.

why 68? is that what the golf likes? and the layers are basically making your port depth. its louder using a baffled port then it is the typical "L" port.do you plan on bondoing or resining the port round and silky smooth?

you got some serious work ahead of you still. i admire the hard work your putting into it though. i've never worked that hard on a single project lol (car audio related)

the baffle is the port. it will be smooth. i have more done now but i don't feel like taking pix. we will see how it turns out. 68hz is because of the 1/4 wave
