Silver Member Username: Jonathan_fGA USA Post Number: 507 Registered: May-04 | One other consideration is that the 13W7 takes 1000W RMS, while the 10W7 take 500W RMS, a big difference, and also dependant on what amp you have since they can be wired for 3 ohm loads only. There is also a huge price difference between the 10W7 and 13W7. If you're looking for a new amp the best matches for JL subs are JL amps. The 3 ohm loads are hard to match with other more conventional amps. Go JL 500/1 for a 10W7 and JL 1000/1 for a 13W7. You'll spend at least $1000, more likely in the $1300 region for a JL 10W7, 500/1 amp, and proper box, even more considering little things like wiring, etc. The 13W7 and 1000/1 amp would run over $2000 after everything. It all depends on where you're getting it from, I'm going retail, so you'll be prepared to spend it, www.woofersetc.com has JL Audio cheap(er). |
