Wiring 2 amps

My amps have rca in and outputs. can i just connect a shorter rca wire from one to the other? my cd player has 3 rca outputs, sub, front speaker and rear speaker, do i run 2 seperate rca wires from the cd player to each amp? im totally confused. Please help
