what do you think it will do i think th subs are 600 rms each will it at least do that and i need the amp to drop down to 1 ohm and it says its a 1 ohm stable here are the specs for it tell me what you think.Power series class D monoblock car-amplifier
RMS Power Rating:
4 Ohms: 1200 Watts x 1 Channel
2 Ohms: 1700 Watts x 1 Channel
Max power output: 4000 watts x 1 channel
Full regulated PWM MOSFET power supply
Four way protection circuit
Adjustable Tuned Bass EQ (0-18 dB Bass Boost)
Hi-Speed digital circuitry
Full selectable crossover (HI,Full,Low)
1-Ohm Stable
Die-cast aluminum heat sink designed for massive heat dissipation from three sides of the amplifier
Heavy duty aluminum alloy heatsink or High-density split-dome convection heat sink for extreme heat dissipation
4 guage wiring is good for 1200-1500watts RMS. You could've gotten a better amp for sure, but since you got it already, it will be ok. Just don't turn the bass boost up.
ok thanks i just wanted to know if it would push 2 12 w6v2's with out cutting out becuase i have a jl audio 1800 watt amp and it cutts out if i wire my subs parallel so i have to wire them series wich sucks and i only paid 215 for that power acoustik amp is it a good deal?
That may be a good price for that amp, I don't know, but in my opinion, no, it was not a good deal. For $35 more, you could've bought a much better amp that would be more reliable. If you want to know what other sites are charging for it, check out these- sonicelectronix.com woofersetc.com techronics.com One of those will probably carry it. If you got a better deal than those sites, then you got a good deal.
Your amp could be cutting out b/c ohms are too low. Which JL amp do you have? Model #? If that's the case, you may have the same problem with the new amp.
i dont really know all i know is that its a 1800 watt 2 channel amp and its a 2ohm stable amp thats why it cutts out but the power acustik is a 1 ohm stable so i hope it doent cut out
Well, you may still have a problem. Amps without regulated power supplies increase output as resistance drops. I.E.-1200w @ 4ohms and 1700w @ 2ohms. Probably only realistically pushes 1500w @ 1ohm @ 14v, but you'd still be giving your subs an extra 150w continuous over their rating. Might be fine, might fry the VC's. Like I said, don't turn up the bass boost, and don't turn the gain up too high.
so you guys are telling me that it has the power to blow my subs? when that jl audio didnt even power those subs halh way and it cost me 500 when it first came out so i kinda made a good 215 dollar choice
