Gold Member Username: N2audioLawrence, Ks USA Post Number: 1756 Registered: Mar-04 | Legacy is actually pretty honest on power ratings in their manuals, but almost EVERY budget brand has ridiculous sales ratings. http://legacycaraudio.com/manuals/LegacySharpSteelAMP.pdf It's on page 7/9 in the pdf manual. It is rated at 335 into 2 ohms, and has a 40A fuse. If any car audio product doesn't CLEARLY state power as RMS either walk away, or dig deeper. Otherwise you'll never know what you're getting, and it probably won't be good. FYI - If you're bottom dollar shopping I just came across a Valor mono amp (VPA801) at newegg for $99 shipped. Valor isn't a very well established name, and I would guess it's not the greatest quality, but it sells at other sites for over $200. It has 3x25A fuses so it should put out 700w or so. Might be worth looking into. |
