fishercustoms.. Not in NYC but great quality. NOTHING in NYC is inexpensive, so even with shipping, fisher would likely be less expensive.

if i were you i'd bring a design to a shop and have them build it. the chance of you finding a shop that will know advanced enclosure designs and have great wood working ability is unlikely.

Have you ever even heard a correctly designed bandpass box? They can sound amazing with the right sub.

Very true... Any reason you want a bandpass so bad?

Thats why I said 99% of the time and not 100.

isnt the reason some bandpass boxes sound horrible is because the boxes where pre-fab n not made to mathc the subs, ive heard a few bandpass boxes that sound beautiful n hit very hard, ive read up on them also n they seem to be great for the music i listen to ex hiphop n reggae.

But do you have a box design that will do that with your specific subs?

You can't just expect a builder to be able to build a box like that.

For a sealed or ported yea. Bandpass is a special case, trial and error is really the only way to create a good one.

well i hope the people at fisher are as good as people say cause a bandpass is what im set on, n thats why im leaving it to the experts in building me a good one

Do they claim to be able to build a perfect bandpass encolsure? No. Because it takes trial and error you can't just come up with it.

You should just get a good ported box from fisher, you'd have one hell of a hard time making a bandpass beat a high quality ported enclosure. Think about it, why doesn't everyone use bandpass?

isnt a bandpass box naturally smaller, n hit a lot harder than a ported or sealed, if my plans for a truck dont pan out then ima get a sedan, a ported box is gonna be huge n may not have enough air to push, ive never heard until here that most bandpass boxes suck, ive heard a few n they almost make my heart change a beat i figured a professional company would have more of the know-how on to building a proper bandpass

Sorry I had to.....

Just about everything you just posted is completely wrong. Bandpass boxes are HUGE in size compared to a sealed or ported, they are the largest type of encolsure. (and don't no smartazzes go bringing up T-lines or any of that crap)

Output is usually not more than ported box but frequencey response is worse. You CAN make them sound good but it is extremely hard. For all the effort needed you could have made a ported enclosure produce the same results or better.

ok so lemme get this correct, a tuned ported box is best then right? a bandpass box is way to difficult to be built making it not worth the effort when a port can be just is good, now i want my bass to loud to the point of being a public nuisance, and a dual port box for two 12s @ 900rms each can do this?

IMO a ported box is the way to go for high output yeah.

How loud it will be also depends of efficencey of the speakers and the vehicle.
