Bronze Member Username: LoudazzaltimaBrooklyn, NY Post Number: 48 Registered: Mar-08 | I want to get a custom bandpass box built for two 12s but I don't know a shop that I can trust to make one anyone know of a good shop |

Gold Member Username: Drant19DUB-C, TX Post Number: 1460 Registered: Aug-07 | what kind of box were you lookin for? they do more customr designs than just the simple slot port or sealed enclosures. send them an email and see what they can do for you. Im sure you guys can figure out something to make ya a happy camper! |

Have you ever even heard a correctly designed bandpass box? They can sound amazing with the right sub. |
Silver Member Username: BoomtankRochester, NY USA Post Number: 614 Registered: Oct-06 | Very true... Any reason you want a bandpass so bad? |
Platinum Member Username: Nd4spd18Philadelphia, PA Post Number: 10125 Registered: Jul-06 | Thats why I said 99% of the time and not 100. |
Bronze Member Username: LoudazzaltimaBrooklyn, NY Post Number: 51 Registered: Mar-08 | isnt the reason some bandpass boxes sound horrible is because the boxes where pre-fab n not made to mathc the subs, ive heard a few bandpass boxes that sound beautiful n hit very hard, ive read up on them also n they seem to be great for the music i listen to ex hiphop n reggae. |
Platinum Member Username: Nd4spd18Philadelphia, PA Post Number: 10128 Registered: Jul-06 | But do you have a box design that will do that with your specific subs? You can't just expect a builder to be able to build a box like that. |
Bronze Member Username: LoudazzaltimaBrooklyn, NY Post Number: 52 Registered: Mar-08 | i have all the specs n recommended box measurements for the sub, i thought thats all a builder would need |
Platinum Member Username: Nd4spd18Philadelphia, PA Post Number: 10129 Registered: Jul-06 | For a sealed or ported yea. Bandpass is a special case, trial and error is really the only way to create a good one. |
Bronze Member Username: LoudazzaltimaBrooklyn, NY Post Number: 53 Registered: Mar-08 | well i hope the people at fisher are as good as people say cause a bandpass is what im set on, n thats why im leaving it to the experts in building me a good one |
Platinum Member Username: Nd4spd18Philadelphia, PA Post Number: 10133 Registered: Jul-06 | Do they claim to be able to build a perfect bandpass encolsure? No. Because it takes trial and error you can't just come up with it. You should just get a good ported box from fisher, you'd have one hell of a hard time making a bandpass beat a high quality ported enclosure. Think about it, why doesn't everyone use bandpass? |
Bronze Member Username: LoudazzaltimaBrooklyn, NY Post Number: 54 Registered: Mar-08 | isnt a bandpass box naturally smaller, n hit a lot harder than a ported or sealed, if my plans for a truck dont pan out then ima get a sedan, a ported box is gonna be huge n may not have enough air to push, ive never heard until here that most bandpass boxes suck, ive heard a few n they almost make my heart change a beat i figured a professional company would have more of the know-how on to building a proper bandpass |
Platinum Member Username: Nd4spd18Philadelphia, PA Post Number: 10147 Registered: Jul-06 | ![]() Sorry I had to..... Just about everything you just posted is completely wrong. Bandpass boxes are HUGE in size compared to a sealed or ported, they are the largest type of encolsure. (and don't no smartazzes go bringing up T-lines or any of that crap) Output is usually not more than ported box but frequencey response is worse. You CAN make them sound good but it is extremely hard. For all the effort needed you could have made a ported enclosure produce the same results or better. |
Bronze Member Username: LoudazzaltimaBrooklyn, NY Post Number: 55 Registered: Mar-08 | ok so lemme get this correct, a tuned ported box is best then right? a bandpass box is way to difficult to be built making it not worth the effort when a port can be just is good, now i want my bass to loud to the point of being a public nuisance, and a dual port box for two 12s @ 900rms each can do this? |
Platinum Member Username: Nd4spd18Philadelphia, PA Post Number: 10148 Registered: Jul-06 | IMO a ported box is the way to go for high output yeah. How loud it will be also depends of efficencey of the speakers and the vehicle. |
Bronze Member Username: LoudazzaltimaBrooklyn, NY Post Number: 56 Registered: Mar-08 | ok in term of being in the trunk of a sedan how efficient can two 12 of soundstreams t5 series be |
