Not always true. There could be a cold solder joint in the amp. Had it happen before |

Gold Member Username: Drant19DUB-C, TX Post Number: 1418 Registered: Aug-07 | alright guys, UPDATE... so i took out the HU and the connections were fine. RCAs were still snug and idk what else to look for? Do you think it could be my amp? what about the x-overs? im just throwin stuff out there lol |
Gold Member Username: Van_manBoston South, MA Post Number: 4625 Registered: Mar-06 | what else is on the front speaker amp? deffinatly sounds like a loose wire. If the speakers are easy to get to, try running a temp (amp to speakers) wire to it and drive for a while and see if it changes anything. if not, then amp, rca's, and hu are next. Also amp ground and rem and pos are good.. also try ohming out the speaker. A bad coil maybe causing shorting...Unlikly with both, but it can happen. |

They used the stock wiring for the speakers on an aftermarket amp? If so then it could be a bad connection. |

Silver Member Username: 420pimp2Post Number: 846 Registered: Jan-06 | You have a wire loose. Check all your connections. You said it was the front correct? Check them first. |
Gold Member Username: Drant19DUB-C, TX Post Number: 1421 Registered: Aug-07 | i only run front speakers. i have a 4channel bridged to them. im gonna check everything again and see whats going wrong with the connections. thanks to everyone for helping me out so far |

If the speaker is 4 ohm, it should read ~3.7-4.3 or so on the meter. As long as its close to 4 ohm. Also while the speaker wires are off, check for a ground fault on each leg of them. Alot easier then opening the doors..yet. |
