Symptoms and Possible Causes:

After sub is turned up a decent amount it makes a "popping" sound.

does the "popping" come when it is playing a certain freq? Is the popping going to beat of music or is it a steady pop? How long has lasted system been installed before the "popping" started?

check and make sure you haven't blown out one of the sides of the box. knock on all side of the enclosure and make sure they sound the same.. Let me know something.

My old sub used to do that when I gave it to much power. I turned the gain down a little bit and it was fine from then on.
