Platinum Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 11301 Registered: Jun-04 | heres an amp that will do 750 at 4 ohms for 125 shipped. http://www.millionbuy.com/atkat1500.html |
Gold Member Username: Hittin1TEAM REVOLUTIONLake Charles... Post Number: 2423 Registered: May-07 | reading> me. lol i see where i read wrong in my earlier post. Maxxsonics products are notorious for overrating their amps. But I see why you recommended the amp(price obviously)even though it is a class a/b amp. The MM series by Autotek is the best line they have. The SS series is well... ehh. |
Platinum Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 11303 Registered: Jun-04 | This is the new at series and I bought one for my phoenix gold rsd 10's expecting it to be good when its from maxxsonics. |
Gold Member Username: Hittin1TEAM REVOLUTIONLake Charles... Post Number: 2426 Registered: May-07 | "expecting it to be good when its from maxxsonics" what are you getting at... i don't understand exactly what you are trying to say. Maxxsonics is maxxsonics. And the amp still has Super Sport(SS) on the heatsink. Ampguts pic when u recieve it? ps any word on the Jugg being shipped? |
Silver Member Username: SnacksQuincy, Florida USA Post Number: 150 Registered: Jul-08 | so wait, is that autotek any good? numbers seem pretty decent, i went to my local shop today and they offered me a memphis audio PR1.500 for 279.99+tax, does 500rms at 1ohm and that seems super high priced. |
Platinum Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 11305 Registered: Jun-04 | I was figuring maxxsonics had a hand in building but I guess not. the jugg should get there on the 12th. |
Gold Member Username: BernymacPhnom PenhCambodia Post Number: 4593 Registered: Sep-04 | Something less for 175.... Hifonics bx1208 should do the job. Or look for a used alpine mrp-m850 on ebay. Alpine mrp850 does power at 2ohms, hifonics does power at 1ohm. You need to specify what amount of power @ what ohm load you need it at as well. |
Gold Member Username: Hittin1TEAM REVOLUTIONLake Charles... Post Number: 2434 Registered: May-07 | Maxxsonics is the buildhouse for Autotek. Thanks for the update on the Jugg! |
Silver Member Username: SnacksQuincy, Florida USA Post Number: 152 Registered: Jul-08 | im aiming for 800rms@1 or 4ohm since i have 2 4ohm DVC kicker cvrs |
Gold Member Username: Hittin1TEAM REVOLUTIONLake Charles... Post Number: 2438 Registered: May-07 | you do know that they can handle/ need more than 800 wrms, right. 1000-1200 wrms is the range I would shoot for. |
Platinum Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 11307 Registered: Jun-04 | You really dont gain as much as you think going over the power. |
Gold Member Username: Hittin1TEAM REVOLUTIONLake Charles... Post Number: 2440 Registered: May-07 | I would at least run factory recomendations(500/wrms each).. And they can handle the additional 100 watts esch. Both 1000 and 1200 are common sizes for mono amps. Both sizes can be found cheap used. 800 would work though. lol |
Silver Member Username: SnacksQuincy, Florida USA Post Number: 153 Registered: Jul-08 | what do you recommend mark? i dont wanna settle on anything yet. however, i dont want to go over 200. recesssssionnnn |
Gold Member Username: Hittin1TEAM REVOLUTIONLake Charles... Post Number: 2457 Registered: May-07 | Recession- Young Jeezy Good album honestly. save up the extra 50 bux get a new AQ1200 shipped to your door, or find a used 1000-1200 mono amp. in your price range. |
Silver Member Username: SnacksQuincy, Florida USA Post Number: 154 Registered: Jul-08 | im lookin into that hifonics bxi 1208. heard anything about it? says 1200wrms@1ohm for like 170. seems like a good deal. |
Gold Member Username: Hittin1TEAM REVOLUTIONLake Charles... Post Number: 2459 Registered: May-07 | i have ran Hifonics plenty, They are a lil over rated but good budget amp.. They are al;so made by Maxxsonic as well as Crunch and MB Quarts, and Autotek. You can find used aq1200 in the same priced range if you look hard enough. AQ >>>>>>>>>hifonics-Autotek |
