some of you may know me, others not. but im making my way back to the scene. ive took a good break and sold my equip, and was doing performance orriented stuff on vehicle. now i have to get things a shaking again. I still have my alpine #? which is pretty new still. ill post model later. I also have epicenter, eqx, and matrix, all audiocontrols.
i would prefer to do 6 18s that are middle end models, that can take the beating.. that way i get more surface area. which is what i need. power can always double in future. i dont want to end up beating the sub so hard it failure.. cause i mean i beat it hi at all times, so not much cooling.
looking at a 2 300a or maybe 1 350a ho alternator. about 6 deep cycles, 6 runs.
4-6 fi bls would handle 2k each easily and be a nice setup. Btls would be a bit more pricey but you could keep them when you double the power and would still do excellent with 2kw. DC audio lvl 4s or nightshades would be my next choice.
Are you doing a wall/4th order or below the window line?
2 smaller alts with an Mla module would probably do better than one big one just for idling amperage which you'll really need If this is for daily.
I'm really fond of the mechman 250 I've been using lately. I have less voltage drop with that than I did with an iraggi 380, hell than with 3 380s and my factory alt at idle lol.
IDK what took him so long, as much as I talked to him on his off season, he didnt mention car audio too much, more talking about Motors, which he helped me piece together.
But I cant wait to see whats gonna do, if its as detailed as the motors he putting together,
