New member Username: Gboo559Post Number: 1 Registered: Jan-09 | I am looking forward to buying 1 12" Alpine Type R. It's gonna be in a 2.0cu/ft. box tuned to 32-35hz. I'm not too good with amps but have a small list of what I might get. Any help on which one is the best? Alpine MRP M650 600w RMS x 1 at 2 ohms http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6471_Alpine+MRP-M650.html Alpine MRP M500 500w RMS x 1 at 2 ohms http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_12018_Alpine+MRP-M500.html and both the Alpines have 2 30A fuses so shouldn't they put out the same power? MB Quart DSC 1000.1 500w RMS x1 at 2 ohms http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_13492_MB+Quart+DSC+1000.1.html are the MB quarts underrated because they have 2 60A fuses and say they only put out 1000W at 1 ohm |

Bronze Member Username: Vivi2000Post Number: 91 Registered: Aug-07 | I know there are people that run there 12" type R's on 1000w a piece. I was going to get a simmilar setup but changed it, but I was looking at this amp. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_9795_Phoenix+Gold+Ryval+V8001.html |
New member Username: Gboo559Post Number: 3 Registered: Jan-09 | Will that amp put out more power than the Alpine MRP-650? Cause it's a little cheaper and I've never heard of that brand. |

New member Username: Gboo559Post Number: 4 Registered: Jan-09 | aight thanks for your help looks like im gonna go with the MRP 650 and just one more question if i get a bigger box like 3.0cu/ft. will it sound louder? |

New member Username: Gboo559Post Number: 5 Registered: Jan-09 | oh ok thanks cuz ive seen people with 2.8 and 3.0 cu/ft. boxes for that sub and was wondering...also how big should the port be? and what difference will the tuning make? lol sorry im hella noob at this |
