Silver Member Username: WickedbassNashville, Tn Post Number: 341 Registered: Jan-08 | Over winter break I tweaked a few things because I was not happy with it and it was just plain ugly. I think it turned out pretty well, what do yall think? Im still not completely satisfied with it so any suggestions are welcomed. Now for the pics. Before After I also added some 1" thick closed cell foam inside the doors and on the back of the door panel. It really helped to cut down on the road noise. No pics of the foam, I would have to pull a door panel off and its just to cold out right now. Although it is supposed to be warmer tomorrow so I might get a chance to take some pics. Thanks guys, Wicked' |

Silver Member Username: WickedbassNashville, Tn Post Number: 342 Registered: Jan-08 | Thanks guys!!! There are still a few imperfections here and there that I don't like but oh well. I found a scrap piece of the foam so I figured I would snap a couple pics to give you all an idea of what I am working with. It's much quieter in the car now, the closed cell foam really helped a lot. |

Silver Member Username: WickedbassNashville, Tn Post Number: 344 Registered: Jan-08 | Alright guys there was a bit of sunshine out today so I was able to get a couple pics of the foam in the car. Not the best quality pics but you get the idea. Foam inside the door. Foam on the back of the door panel. ^^^I MADE it fit. I got it from the manufacturing plant that I used to work at which made large air conditioning duct. We put this stuff on the inside of some duct work instead of regular fiberglass insulation because this duct work was going to be feeding a "clean room". When I first seen this stuff I immediately thought of the of the car audio related uses it had. When finished with the job I asked for the scraps and to my surprise they told me to have at it. The stuff came on a 60" wide roll that was 35' long. As for price, the boss man made it a point to tell us not to screw it up because the roll of foam cost about 3k. And yes it is adhesive back. The stuff is retard amounts of sticky, actually pulled some hair off of my finger. I think the name of the company was Armacell, if I remember correctly. I will look for a link in a minute. Damn I typed alot, sorry for the long post guys. |
