I'm about a month or so away from getting my whole system done, new alpine deck: http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/product.php?model=iDA-X305 Alpine Type X 12" Sub:http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/product.php?model=SWX-1243D and the PDX 1.1000 amp:http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/product.php?model=PDX-1.1000... anyways the guy at the store who was going to install tells me that the box that woofer needs is huge and MUST be ported... however i have read other places that the box for this sub can be small and sealed... so whats the deal? my friend said that he could build me a box as well because he has some insight into car audio... and 1 more question... has anyone used that alpine deck? I realize there is no CD slot and its for Ipod/ Iphone only... is the sound quality going to be just as good as a CD?? any info is much appreciated... |
