Gold Member Username: Loc_outTeam RE XXX Post Number: 2711 Registered: Feb-05 | What's up guys?? As some of you guys know I fiberglass my front doors to fit a 6 1/2 and a 5.25 I also bought a second set of mmats pro 651 for my rear doors. After making the rings i realize they are not going to fit.I am about to fit two 5.25. My option is buy a 5.25 mid woofer for 70 bucks(140 a pair)? Second option is install 6 ½ on and the tweeter on the rear door. Fiberglass the front pillars for the 5.25. Which do you guys think I should do? Below is a pix of option 2. |

Option 2 would require active filtering on the 5.25 mid for a very narrow bandwidth (perhaps 1khz to 5khz). However, very precise tuning will be required to achieve seamless blending between these mids and the other HF drivers. |
