BUT the power n ground wires r only 8g (high currant low impedance)with 60amp fuse iv been investigating n the usual gauge wire for 500watt+ is 4g. but the kit says its for 1000watt. what u guys think? install it n if my car melts take cadence to court n get a new car? or buy 4g wire any help would be great cheers |

They've been around for quite some time. I don't need any help on this particular issue however. I'm well aware of how much current and voltage is output by the amplifier, and, based on the length of run, what gauge wire would be sufficient to handle that. Speaker wire is a lot like interconnects. Very full of myths and hype by marketing that misleads the average consumer. For what it's worth however, I do have a fairly decent resume to stand behind the advice I offer. Speaking of wiring.. I just looked at a 75 foot HDDMI cable on a website that they wanted $600 for! I almost peed myself laughing |
