Bronze Member Username: Fish5IN Post Number: 44 Registered: May-07 | I just finished installing my subs last week, so my car is finished (for now). I had to do this in two different steps, b/c i couldn't afford everything at once. But I figured that if I was going to post pic's of my subs, then I might as well post pic's of everything. So I installed the front stage first (about 1 1/2 years ago) and then the subs. So here's what i've got: -Kenwood Excelon x591 hu -Rainbow slc235 components -Sundown 100.2 -Sundown 1000D -2 12" RD Classic's -FisherCustom's box tuned to 33hz and 3.5cubes -DieHard Platinum Battery -Knukonceptz wiring -RAAMmat sounddeadoner (in the front doors) <table><tr><td><img></td></tr><tr><td>Car Install</td></tr></table> Hopefully that ^^^ works, I've never done this before. And unfortunately, only the passenger side door is deadened now, someone hit my car (nope, don't know who) and so I had to get a new door, but I was able to keep the old panel so there's at least a little. Needless to say, I really, really like everything. My front stage sounded good even without subs, but adding subs just make such a difference. I'd also just like to say thanks to Kevin Holden, and Jacob Fuller for continually answering all of my ("dumb") questions. They were great guys to work w/ and I'd highly recemmond them to anyone |

Gold Member Username: Big_edge_headMilwaukee, WI Post Number: 3275 Registered: Mar-07 | Lol I missed that. You need to fix that dude. That's dangerous. |
Silver Member Username: WickedbassNashville, Tn Post Number: 288 Registered: Jan-08 | Nice equipment man. Yeah fix that power wire man, it's not safe. ^^^They arent trying to dog on you, just more looking out for you. Something like that could burn a car to the ground. |

Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Philadelphia, PA Post Number: 9463 Registered: Jul-06 | Really that is all very nice equipment and it looks like a good install........ expect for that power wire, thats one the classic noob gehtto rigs. |
Gold Member Username: ShortysetniesAndrew Capps, NC US Post Number: 3111 Registered: Mar-06 | In his defense, there is now way that the power wire will get pinched, unless the door gets ripped open... It actually isn't in a horrible place... Not the best and I would suggest moving it but it isnt nearnly as bad as Ive seen |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Philadelphia, PA Post Number: 9465 Registered: Jul-06 | It is still ghetto as all hell..... I mean come on theres no excuse for that. And it looks like its right next to the hood hinge and run where the hood would close. |
Gold Member Username: ShortysetniesAndrew Capps, NC US Post Number: 3114 Registered: Mar-06 | Oh I know. I wouldnt suggest it. In fact Im against it but if he hasnt done an install before, he did a good job. I would move it though. Just for the record. Find an opening in the firewall and if you cant, drill a hole and use a grommet. Not that hard man |
Bronze Member Username: Fish5IN Post Number: 45 Registered: May-07 | So you're suggesting going through the firewall? I have no idea how to do that...it took me forever to figure out how to just run it where it is and it shouldn't get pinched there's enough room there |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Philadelphia, PA Post Number: 9466 Registered: Jul-06 | Not that hard, pull up pass side carpet and/or lower dash panels and look for an place with nothing under the hood on the other side, drill a hole. All sorts of places sell gromets for the wire or ghetto way is to put a piece of rubber hose around it. |
Bronze Member Username: Fish5IN Post Number: 46 Registered: May-07 | okay, so i understand from the inside of the car, but wouldn't it be hard to run it through the engine like that? There's not much room |
Bronze Member Username: M0nstarToledo, OH U.S. Post Number: 60 Registered: Dec-08 | of course there's not much room. pull up your carpet in the front where you/ the passenger's feet would be and look for a rubber plug, and if its not there, then look for a hole that goes directly into the engine compartment. then disconnect your (-) terminal and just feed the wire until you getit right.
