The twisted is nice and it's only one run of wire to worry about, instead of running 2 wires with the power wire. I used to use 8 gauge power cable for my sub. I said f*ck it though, it's not worth it. So I just got some normal 12 gauge speaker wire from knukonceptz. The speaker wire strands are finer than normal power cable.
