New member Username: GrampaPost Number: 3 Registered: Dec-08 | Hi all, I'm looking at getting a good SQ sub that has a quite linear frequency response which can very nicely reproduce the deeper frequencies aswell. I also want it to go quite loud when i wanna crank it sometimes. It doesn't have to be overly powerful though because I'd only be running it off my Alpine MRP-350 amp (350watts 2 ohm, 200watts 4 ohm). Although I'm thinking of upgrading my amp aswell but for now that's what I'd be using. Anyway I wanna get a boxed sub as i have never made my own box before lol so it would just be much easier for me. I was wondering if anyone has had much experience with Hertz subs? The one i'm looking at is this one: http://www.hertzaudiovideo.com/Doc/st_energy_ebx300r.pdf How would it compare to these JL subs? http://www.crutchfield.com/p_136S112R12/JL-Audio-CS112RG-W1v2.html ?showAll=N&tp=112 http://www.crutchfield.com/p_136P11212/JL-Audio-CP112G-W1v2.html?showAll=N&tp=11 2 http://www.crutchfield.com/p_136S112R33/JL-Audio-CS112RG-W3v3.html?showAll=N&tp= 112 http://www.crutchfield.com/p_136P11312/JL-Audio-CP113G-W1v2.html?showAll=N&tp=11 2 http://www.crutchfield.com/p_136S210R12/JL-Audio-CS210RG-W1v2-2.html?showAll=N&t p=112 Also not sure if a sealed or ported box would be better for what I want. Sorry I'm a bit of noob lol. (My amp is probably way underpowered for most of these subs too =/ but as I said, I'll upgrade it if I have to.) Anyway which of all these do you think would be best for me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

Get their new high energy stuff or their mille ml series. Here is the sub I recommend. I'm personally getting 2 hertz mille ml 3000 12" subs or the hertz mille ml 3800 15" subs. My friend is a dealer and can get the best prices, if your interested shoot me an email and I'll get you in touch with him. joshualittle1982@yahoo.com. |

Would they still sound pretty good? Or this hertz one?: http://www.raysmith.co.uk/Subwoofers/Enclosed-Subs/HBX250DS/ Is that any good? It's DVC so it would get the most out of my amp which would be a nice bonus. Except it's probably too expensive for me still. |

I would probably go with the w3 series. And here it is pretty cheap. I've shopped at this place before too, they have good customer service.http://www.techronics.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=7865 |
