Many thanks for your help. 5414 is the correct code for the Serial Number given GR0971T6198667 The reason it does not work could be 1...You have quoted the wrong serial Number 2...You are not entering the code correctly 3...The radio could be locked because too many wrong codes have been entered.(Leave it switched ON UNDISTURBED until it resets...possibly take over 10 hours depending on how many wrong codes have been entered) 4...Your radio has been recoded to a completely different number to the one it left the factory with. |

They are basically the same company . The older CDR 2005 were DELCO who were then taken over and became part of the VDO/SIEMENs group.Hence the later CDR 2005 are VDO It should be marked somewhere on the casing or fascia. For the code , try one of the bigger Decoders on Ebay or via a Google search. These DELCO/VDO codes are not calculated but held on a massive database so that is why only the Main Dealer or these bigger Decode Specialists can help....for a fistfull of fivers ! You could try a Main Dealer in another town or even your local Car Audio Shop as they can sometimes be a lot cheaper.(They might have contacts to another source of info ) |
