Silver Member Username: WickedbassNashville, Tn Post Number: 222 Registered: Jan-08 | I have a RD 3250 that is running at 1.5ohms and was wanting to rewire the subs to .75ohms. Im pretty sure the amp would be okay at this load but was wanting to see what everyone thought first. Thanks in advance for any help/advice you can give. Wicked' |

Diamond Member Username: BestmankindPost Number: 23095 Registered: Oct-05 | is it not loud enough at 1.5ohms? just run it at 1.5. yes they can handle the low impedence but why put a strain on it? |
Gold Member Username: Tatonka-[Team Audible Insanity]- Post Number: 2557 Registered: Mar-07 | I ran my 1750 at .35 daily lol. Yes, it will be able to handle it with no problem.
Well Chad, with box rise you are looking at 2+ohm. That will make the amp put out half power. If he wired it at .75, it'll be 1+ohm after box rise. This does not put a strain on it, and it puts out alot more power. |

Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Philadelphia, PA Post Number: 9204 Registered: Jul-06 | With a stong amp like that it should not be a problem. Unless you have a stock electrical in which case you shouldnt be running that amp at all.... well maybe at 4 ohms or somethin |
Silver Member Username: WickedbassNashville, Tn Post Number: 225 Registered: Jan-08 | Thanks for all the input guys. I figured it would be okay but just wanted to be sure. I do have good electrical to back it up as well. To answer your question Chad, no it isnt loud enough yet and I am hoping that some more power will get me a little bit more output from the subs. Hopefully I can do this without frying some coils. Thanks again guys. |

Silver Member Username: WickedbassNashville, Tn Post Number: 228 Registered: Jan-08 | Okay so I had a major brain f@rt (yeah apparently we can't say f art on here) when I made this thread. I have 2 subs with dual 1.5 ohm coils and I have them at 1.5ohms now but am wanting to go lower. What I thought would be a .75ohm load would actually be at .38ohms(I think?). Now I think I would really pushing my luck. I know this is a solid amp and I do have a really good electrical system but would this still hold up in a daily application? Thoughts? Thanks again guys. |

Gold Member Username: Tatonka-[Team Audible Insanity]- Post Number: 2561 Registered: Mar-07 | That amp would take it with no problems if you have some charging system to back it up. I have a friend who has my old sub and even runs his RD1750 at .35 daily with a stock alt and another battery. Voltage stays at 13+ |

Silver Member Username: WickedbassNashville, Tn Post Number: 230 Registered: Jan-08 | I really appreciate all of the input guys, yall are the best. I think I will stick with 1.5ohms for now but I might try .38 later when I can ditch my yellow top for a 3rd hc2400. Thanks again, Wicked' |
