I need to know if i can fit 2 HDC310s in my trunk. Their site says the recommend 1.5cuft per sub. Is that after, or before port displacement and stuff? If after, i need to know how much volume to subtract from the box because of port area? If i cant get a 3cuft box to fit, how small could i got for theses to still perform well?

Thats after sub woofer and port displacement. Using 3.00 cf after sub and port and making the port 3 high 16 wide 13.25 deep will give you a 40 hz tune. That port adds .48 port displacement. I dont know what the subs displacement is but you can email DJ at audioque.

Holy sh*t man, .48 displacement just for the port? What would you guess for the two subs together to be? Its really looking like i want be able to fit these.

subs don't displace very much volume.. probably around .25 for both subs

Alright thats not too bad I guess. So say if i was using a sealed box calculater. I would just need to make it roughly .75 bigger than what i need?(.48 for port, and .25 for subs)

something like that, but keep in mind that if you make the box .75 ft^3 bigger you'll need to re-calculate the port and the volume that it will displace

Thats 3.29 cubic feet without the subs and port.

With a port 3 high x 14 wide x 15 deep for a 40 hz tune .48 port displacement minus about .25 for the subs displacement 2.56 cubic feet net
