last year I was running my 12 alpine type R and hifonics amp taking up 600 RMS. I recently installed dimaond audio comp speakers with a kicker amp using up 350 RMS. Now I havnt used these 2 together because I need a new amp for my sub, (long story). I have played the comp speakers alone and works fine, same as the sub did.
Now my main concern is will my 94 toyota corolla support the power needed for both these setups using a combined 950 watts RMS?
Try it. It'll work but remember you don't have to turn the volume dial to max, the same goes for the gains on the amp. Use what your electrical system will allow you.
Im also wondering, would i be able to take a 1.8 litre altenator out of the same year corolla (80 amp) and put it into my 1.6 litre without any problems?
Cuz i think im cutting it awefully close with the 70 amp altenator.
so back to square one, do i really need yo get an altenator, i just want to get the same amount of bass i got before, jsut with the upgraded speakers now taking an extra 350 rms. Will i get this performance still?
should be fine, i was runnin a kicker zx1000.1 on my stock 80amp alt in my 1999 camry. never had a problem at all. that amp produce more then 1000 watts too.
