Alpine Type R Problem

I have kicker 1000-1 class d amp and i keep blowing my alpine type R's. They are 1500 watts each 500rms 2ohms and i smoke them in a matter of days some times in weeks. Is it that i need a different amp.

It could be that you are sending your subs a clipped signal. Where are your gains/bass boost set at?

Clipping.... bass boost is on and/or gain not set properly
