Hey guys Ive been runnin an 06 10" CVR for the past few years and Im def ready for some improved sound.
Im mostly concerned with SQ, so what do you think between these options:
a 10" IDQ or a 12" SSD
any other SQ options or opinions, im all ears

I had a 12" SSD with the flatwind coil and it had pretty decent SQ to it. Since you are wanting SQ, if you decide the SSD, I would get the copper coil as opposed to the flatwind coil as the copper coil is geared more toward SQ installs.

My budget is around $500 for a sub and amp
I figured the IDQ is more money than the SSD, but the SSD wants more power so in the end they would come out close to even.

Thanks for the advice on the copper, i heard it was for better SQ, and $5 isnt a big deal for the upgrade

I would look at the RD Sonance series woofers. I run one and LOVE the SQ and output. Chad Lee runs them as well and LOVES the Sq on them. email Kevin at: lowhz01@yahoo.com

Id love an IDmax but that about blows my budget on just the sub
