to answer the questions about the legacy..

spec bs are hard to find used.. IMO just get the 2.5gt.. the money you save from buying that model vs the spec b you could use in upgrading the 2.5gt to be a lot better of a car than the spec b with the same amount of cash you woulda spent anyway

and do i like the new 2.5gts? they are the same car.. few body changes.. same motors

and nice chad.. but you know you want to port em :-)

"Damn, where did you get that box made?"

He didn't have it made Snow, it's a REALLY common prefab you can buy at almost any local audio shop....

And to Kevin, I thought I remembered you saying something a while back about the differences in performance between years, which is why I asked the question I did. do you mind clearing that up for me? I'm really thinking about getting a new one once I graduate.

yeah that prefab does look nice. i haven't really measured it to see what cuft it was. i will do that later. i would never buy prefab ported box but sealed is sealed so its all good.

now it took me 40 minutes to get to work this morning. in which time i got to listen to alot of various music.

even though the sub is fairly new, it already sounds super clean. it puts the sonance to shame in sq and sonance was my favorite sq sub until this time. now sonance hits harder on bass songs but over all the rd sq kills it.

songs i listen to are...
when you look in to my eyes....jonas bros
billy jean.....michael jackson
better in time.....leona lewis
run to the hills....iron maiden
devil driver songs
etc....

the bass is just awesome in all those songs. the bass literally makes my components sound good. i am dead serious lol.

anyways only one problem i have with these subs and that is the terminals. i know this is the lower end lines but come on steve, you could hook us up with better terminals. maybe only the 10s are like that but still. :-)

oh and of course i had to listen to my favorite korean singer of all time.

The reason for the terminals was to really make it a throw-back subwoofer.

We wanted to make it 100% SQ and performance.

Maybe on next build i can look at putting them small block terminals that use allen head screws.

It did not look right with the standard push terminals.

those would be nice. its not the looks of the terminals that is bothering. its just the thought of one of the cables coming off is always in the back of my mind.

guys, what do you think about the alpine pdx-1.000 and alpine pdx-2.150? they are smaller than my dls and won't take up all of my trunk space so i was thinking of switching.

if anyone has a pdx-1.1000 in good condition, i would do straight up trade for my dls A6.

Thieves the Legacy 05+ all perform the same.. except some of the newer models had a stutter issue which is fixed with a tune. the spec bs are slightly better but like i said before the cost to upgrade to one of those you could be stage III on a 2.5GT

to tell you the truth, i wasn't happy with the upper bass on the rl-s. althought the low was like nothing i've heard. it was insanely clean. i loved it. but for me to enjoy groups like devil driver and donald fagen, i need more upper bass and the rd sq delivers.

well my main reason for wanting the pdx line is the size of the amps. i want something smaller. believe me i love my dls amps. they are by far one of the best i've owned. but just too big. lol.

thanks donnie. but i decided to keep my dls. no way i can get rid of the dls for the pdx amp. i love my amp too much. besides if i get the alpine amp, i would only get like 200wrms more. so i am better off keeping my amp in case i need a 1ohm stable amp later.

i hate the new wrx's. after the 05 model (best imo) they just went to sh!t. look at the top gear (uk) episode where they compare that latest gen to the evo x. blowout. even the new evo's are ugly but they do perform...

actually the stis out performs the evo except in the hp section.. cornering/braking the sti wins..

i'm with the 2 fellas above me unfortunately Chad haha. not saying it wouldn't be super fantastic to drop that in your car, but being the business man you are, that should come first. those G35's and stangs, though would be beatable with that sc, can wait.

i realized when i first thought about dropping $ into my car, it's not going to be worth it. i could have easily put over 2k under the hood at this point but i know it wouldn't be as fast as i wanted it, so i just threw a k&n in and called it a day haha. i'm waiting for when i have a car that really has potential until i spend a fortune on it.

until then, i'm going to settle with either a cbr/r(x)/gixxer, which ever i like riding the most :-)

aww come on though i'd take a 335i over any subaru any day of the week. i know subarus are fast but you can't speed all the time. if you want speed then you mind as well buy a $500 car and boost the sh!t out of it to make it a 8 second car.

you don't buy the 335 for the speed.
