Friday, November 14, 2008 - 08:01 GMT I have a 2003 ford explorer. I am putting 2 12 in kicker cvr in it. I am probably going to build my own box. Which is better?

Friday, November 14, 2008 - 08:05 GMT depends on wat ur looking for. sealed will give you a flatter response while ported will move more air. MOst likely im guessing you want it loud so i would say ported would be better for you.

Friday, November 14, 2008 - 08:07 GMT the cvr's do well in both but I would go ported since space is not too much of an issue.

Friday, November 14, 2008 - 16:37 GMT Id go ported (slot port). Tune the box to 35 hz and build the box subs up port back. The resonant frequency should be 49 to 52 hz. I know this because I was at a show and a guy had a explorer.
