Thursday, November 06, 2008 - 00:15 GMT Kevin, curious shouldn't the subs be facing into the cabin? Looks to be a reverse seal job I see the trunk flexing now.. Polo.

Thursday, November 06, 2008 - 01:58 GMT Not trying to be a burn but I have plenty of experience with a sealed trunk, I was just asking a question to kill the curiosity. Polo..

Thursday, November 06, 2008 - 15:45 GMT Porting the rear deck would be a good idea I think.

Thursday, November 06, 2008 - 19:01 GMT But porting the back deck if it isn't extremely large it would effectively make it a "band Pass" and mess with any and all tuning. The open trunk area would be secondary chamber. Polo..

Thursday, November 06, 2008 - 19:11 GMT the bass will get through polo. the bass will resonate off the car and you will hear it.

Thursday, November 06, 2008 - 19:29 GMT No it will resonate the car and change the tune, there is a difference. You could hope that the box would resonate more than the car and have the back of the box radiate but looking at his tripple baffle I would say that is less likely. I would say he is going for an SQ setup but that would be hard to do with the car resonating, backhalf anyways. I see a lot of trunk compression happening, waste of power and effort. I am in no way knocking anything he has done Kevin does great work just don't want him to go through all that work just to have to pull it out. If I was him I would try the box one way then the other using old rags and towels to seal it up and see before it is all mounted in. It took me more R&D work to get mine like it is than anything. You would be surprised in the output gain when you effectively separate the front/back wave. Polo.. PS- I'll leave ya alone now lOl.
