Well got my suburban broken into Thursday night, the busted out one of the windows and stole a pair of Eclipse sw8122 subs that I loved, also stole an Alpine PDX1.1000 amp, broke my dash but did not get my Eclipse head unit. I have $800.00 to $1000.00 to spend on replacements. I am looking at 2 re sx12 subs. How much power do I need to get the most out of these? There is a new US amps Merlin MD-3D on Ebay. Would this be a good match or is and amp with 1000 watts enough? Any suggestions on Subs and Amps would be appreciated. I don't have a box anymore either, is ported better? The window was replaced yesterday, an alarm is in the works, I called my insurance and they said if the stereo equipment is not attached it is not covered. This vehicle is usually in my driveway next to my house where it is safe, but I had to move it for 1 night to work on a buddys car, hence the break-in. (still no excuses) What would you guys suggest Amp and Sub wise with the money I have to spend
